He is assembling the pieces to create a mould for the fibreglass bodywork.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">The father-of-two from <st1:city w:st=\"on\"><st1:place w:st=\"on\">Auckland<\/st1:place><\/st1:city> is already a dab hand at building kit cars. He previously built a Ferrari 250 GTO.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">&quot;I decided on the DB4 because old Astons are just very, very cool&rdquo;, he said.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">&quot;The printer arrived around about Christmas and I&#8217;ve been learning from scratch since then.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">&quot;The 3D printing should be finished in October, a mould will probably be a year after that and the final road legal vehicle, as a complete guess, will be in five years.&quot;<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A man in New Zealand is creating his own iconic car with a 3D printer in his garage.
