The growing demand for environmentally friendly goods and services has given office equipment<\/a> manufacturers the opportunity to go green, experts have claimed. <\/p>\n

Other sectors have already made it clear that they have grand intentions to do their bit to aid the environment, with HSBC announcing it plans to become the first carbon neutral bank and the Virgin Group ploughing millions of pounds into environmental initiatives. <\/p>\n

London Remade, an advisory and consultancy group working in the capital, has claimed that some office equipment manufacturers are already ready starting to appreciate the benefits of going green. <\/p>\n

It claims that Brother, which produces printers<\/a>, faxes and other hi-tech office equipment, has seen a noticeable increase in demand for its products since it began working with London Remade and the Green Procurement Code.<\/p>\n

A Brother spokesman has said that "London Remade’s role as adviser on sustainability helped to introduce the company to like-minded organisations" and that many of these have gone on to "become partners, suppliers or customers".<\/p>\n

Now London Remade wants to see a host of other technology firms do their bit for the environment and promote green practices within the sector.<\/p>\n
