Despite the growing popularity of technological communication, Paper office supplies<\/a> are still popular, it has been a claimed.<\/p>\n

An article in the Yorkshire Post describes how the use of hi-tech communication such as mobiles, email, texts and instant messaging is growing; however, it also points out that this increase has not led to traditional office supplies<\/a> becoming superfluous.<\/p>\n

It cites research from Mintel which states that UK sales of office supplies<\/a> such as pens and stationery are expected to rise from £527 million in 2005 to £605 million by 2011.<\/p>\n

"So, rather than becoming outdated, letter-writing is simply another way of communicating," it claims.<\/p>\n

Dr Margaretta Jolly, senior English lecturer at Exeter University, told the publication that methods of communication are changing quickly with the introduction of personal gadgets – and it may be that work communication has also changed as office machines<\/a> have evolved.<\/p>\n

In other office products<\/a> news, Kwik-Fit Insurance recently said that it would provide specially-designed office supplies<\/a> and tools for all left-handed employees in order to celebrate National Left Hander’s Day next week.<\/p>\n
