The launch of India’s first multilingual printers<\/a> sees the country able to take advantage of advanced features offered by the office machines<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Released by HCL Infosystems, the HCL Star TSP700 printers<\/a> support several languages commonly spoken in the country, including English, Hindi and Marathi.<\/p>\n

Designed with the needs of rural Indian retailers in mind, the office machines<\/a> are able to print barcode, label, receipt and tickets.<\/p>\n

In announcement of the launch of the office equipment<\/a>, HCL Infosystems executive vice president Rajendra Kumar said that the technology is meant to "leverage the language opportunity" which is present in the country.<\/p>\n

"With the increasing adoption of IT in the towns and villages of India, language applications have increasingly become the order of the day. With this new HCL printer, we have again delivered on our commitment to meet the requirements of our customers," he remarked.<\/p>\n

The capability of the office machines<\/a> to perform a multitude of tasks will add to their appeal, he added.<\/p>\n

Founded in 1976, HCL claims that it is the leader in the point-of-sale solutions in the retail industry and has more than 70 per cent of the market share.<\/p>\n
