Google recently released its Zeitgeist lists for 2012 which details the fastest growing search terns throughout the year.<\/p>\n

Globally, the fastest growing search term was ‘Whitney Houston’ in relation to the singer who was found dead earlier this year, followed by the ultra-viral ‘Gangnam Style’.<\/p>\n

Both these terms featured in the UK-only fastest growing search terms, but ‘Euro 2012’ topped the list. More UK-specific search terms included ‘Olympic tickets’, ‘April Jones’ (the Welsh schoolgirl who went missing in October) and ‘Gary Barlow’. ‘Kate Middleton’ was the sixth fastest growing term globally.<\/p>\n
