{"id":1234,"date":"2008-08-19T09:17:48","date_gmt":"2008-08-19T09:17:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.paperstone.co.uk\/Wordpress\/?p=1234"},"modified":"2008-08-19T09:17:48","modified_gmt":"2008-08-19T09:17:48","slug":"managers_unaware_of_costs_of_office_supplies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.paperstone.co.uk\/News\/articles\/managers_unaware_of_costs_of_office_supplies","title":{"rendered":"Managers &#8216;unaware of costs of office supplies&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nearly three-quarters of all business managers do not actually know how much their company spends on printing and copying each year, a new study has uncovered.<\/p>\n<p>Research by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.paperstone.co.uk\/\" target=\"_self\">office products<\/a> manufacturer Konica Minolta found that 72 per cent of managers had no idea of how much it cost to use <a href=\"https:\/\/www.paperstone.co.uk\" target=\"_self\">office equipment<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>However, those managers with a non-IT background were even further in the dark, with 82 per cent admitting they had no knowledge of the cost of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.paperstone.co.uk\/\" target=\"_self\">office supplies<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.paperstone.co.uk\" target=\"_self\">office equipment<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Despite this, the research also found that 70 per cent of UK companies were reducing the amount of documents they print off as a result of eco-friendly urges.<\/p>\n<p>John Howard, head of UK marketing for Konica Minolta said: &quot;The rate of change brought about by technology innovation is fast and increasing. <\/p>\n<p>&quot;Making sense of it and staying on the edge of the technology wave is a real challenge, as our recent survey results make clear<\/p>\n<p>Last month, Konica Minolta and Oce &#8211; a Dutch manufacturer &#8211; agreed that they will work together on a number of projects and will market their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.paperstone.co.uk\/office-machines-supplies\/c-2420\" target=\"_self\">office machines<\/a> using the same agency and techniques.<\/p>\n<p>Officially signed on April 4th, the deal will cover <a href=\"https:\/\/www.paperstone.co.uk\/office-machines-supplies\/c-2420\" target=\"_self\">office machines<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.paperstone.co.uk\/\" target=\"_self\">office products<\/a> manufactured by the two companies.
