Here&#8217;s more on that story.<\/p>\n<p>Printer toner is the powder, found in printer cartridges, used in laser printers and photocopiers. In the printing process, the powder is melted and fused to the documents. To melt the toner from the printer cartridge a lot of heat is needed and thus a lot of energy is expended.<\/p>\n<p>Xerox&#8217;s next generation of printer cartridges will contain printing toner that melts 45 degrees Fahrenheit lower than the toner used in current Xerox print cartridges. This is expected to cut the overall power consumption of digital printers by 15 to 30 per cent.<\/p>\n<p>The process is based on nanotechnology and combines new polymers with other toner ingredients. While the new process uses upto 50 per cent less materials, Xerox claims it yields higher quality and reliability. As many as 35 patents may be granted relating to discoveries made developing the toner.<\/p>\n<p>The toner is already being produced in Japan while US production is expected to begin next year.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.paperstone.co.uk\/Ink-Cartridges-And-Toners\">Looking for printer cartridges?<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the Xerox Corporation continues to receive honours for its environmental and social investment performance, including being been named to the Dow Jones Sustainability Index for North America and recognised as a socially responsible investment by independent research firm, KLD.<\/p>\n<p>As well as contributing to printing efficiency, it has encouraged companies to replace stand-alone printers with multifunction machines and has supplied customers with sustainably sourced Paper and has invented Paper products that are more environmentally friendly.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.paperstone.co.uk\/office-machines-supplies\/printers-fax-machines\/printers\/l-2477\">Thinking of switching to a multifunction machine?<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Xerography is in its seventieth year!<\/b> The first xerographic copy was made on Oct. 22, 1938 in Queens, New York City but it was a few decades before the process was commercialised by Xerox.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.paperstone.co.uk\/paper\">Paper products at Paperstone<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>New printer cartridges from Xerox set for production next year Last week we reported new toner technology being developed by printing supplies giant, Xerox.
