New York exhibiting artist Aram Bartholl has been mortaring USB drives into walls, curbs and buildings around Manhattan and Brooklyn. He calls these anonymous, peer-to-peer file transfer points, “dead drops”. Bartholl is a resident at technology and art ideas incubator EYEBEAM.

Bartholl has posted a gallery of the installations.
