Papermate, ‘Back in the Day’

It’s the early ‘50s and America’s burgeoning bourgeoisie are wondering what pen they should use. Papermate steps in, promoting ink that is “permanent on Paper, washes out on cloth.” The pens, this savvy audience would have been pleased to hear, are “Approved by Bankers and School Principals” no less.
