Printer manufacturer Canon has revealed that it is continuing to back an initiative to get school children thinking about careers in the printing industry.

PrintIT! aims to promote the graphic arts world as a legitimate profession, with Canon stating that the scheme has helped transform the image of printing and printers.

Rather than an old and dusty world, Canon claims that more children than ever are now thinking of printing as an innovative and forward-thinking industry.

Ben Milford, head of professional marketing at Canon, said: "As a key supplier to the market, Canon appreciates as much as anyone the need to attract bright young people to take the industry forward.

"I don’t think there is anyone in the industry who does not believe PrintIT! is a great idea and would not wish it success. We’re delighted at Canon to be involved once more in supporting this initiative."

Canon has confirmed that it will providing printing equipment to the initiative as well as donating printers, printer cartridges and other printer supplies as prizes to get children to enter competitions and take a hands-on role with PrintIT!

At Paperstone, we have all the printer supplies you could ever need.
