Xerox office machines named 'best in show'
04/04/2008 05:58
A range of office machines made by Xerox has scooped a best in show award at a major industry convention.
The Xerox 8265 Colour Wide Format Printer received the award at the annual AIIM/On Demand Conference and Exposition, a major event for the document imaging industry.
Judges from Infotrends - a major market research company, which handed out the awards - were impressed by the quality of pictures which the office equipment produces, as well as the speed of printing.
Valerie Blauvelt, vice-president of marketing at Xerox, said: "This award recognises Xerox's commitment to providing our customers with innovative technology to help them capture new business in the growing digital marketplace.
"The Xerox 8265 opens up an entirely new set of high-value print jobs for customers looking to complement their current capabilities or enter the expanding graphic communications colour wide-format market."
Last month, Xerox announced a "breakthrough" in colour printing technology, which could make office machines print at over 500 pages each minute.
The research will allow future office machines to print at faster rates, making companies become more efficient.
