Xerox launches crackdown on harmful office supplies

Office equipment One of the largest office machines manufacturers in the world has launched a new calculating system to help companies reduce the environmental effect of their office supplies.

The Xerox Sustainability Calculator is designed to help businesses find out what parts of their company are causing the most damage to the environment, while also helping reduce costs.

It evaluates the current environmental affects of office equipment and then measures environmental benefits that could be achieved in terms of energy and paper use, solid waste, water, air and greenhouse gas emissions.

John Kelly, president of Xerox Global Services, said: "This calculator cracks the code to help offices of any size really understand just how 'green' their offices are or could be.

"The same people who are environmentally conscious at home are starting to bring this awareness to work, but in many cases, they didn't know where to start.

Last month, Xerox announced a "breakthrough" in colour printing technology, which could make office machines print at over 500 pages each minute.

The research will allow future office machines to print at faster rates, making companies become more efficient.

At Paperstone we can supply your firm with a wide selection of office equipment.
