Office machines company signs deal
16/01/2008 17:02
Office products manufacturer Seiko Instruments USA has announced that it has signed an agreement with electronics distributor Current Components Inc (CCI).
The arrangement gives customers of CCI access to office equipment such as kiosk printers, mobile printers and direct thermal printer mechanisms.
CCI distributes both printers and components for office machines within North America and claims that its quality service and understanding of customer needs has given it an edge in the market.
And Seiko Instruments USA focuses on developing office products that fill gaps which are not met by normal computer peripherals.
Chris Miller, chief technology officer of CCI, said that the partnership means that people can be "assured of best-of-breed products" and can benefit from tailored solutions that are also delivered quickly.
"This is a win-win all around," he added.
Meanwhile, manager of Seiko Instruments Thermal Printer Division, commented: "I am pleased that such an important thermal printer specialty distributor has agreed to join the Seiko Instruments family."
He predicted that both firms would see their profits and productivity increase as a result of the deal.
