New Samsung office machines "decent" but "awkward"
05/06/2008 15:06
A new range of office machines from one of the world's largest technology companies has been labelled as "decent" but "awkward" by an industry expert.
The Samsung CLP-660ND range of office products was recently reviewed by US-based PC World magazine, which claimed that the office equipment has "a lot of competition in its price range".
While the office machines print at an "adequate" 19.8 pages per minute and installing the product went "smoothly", the finish of documents printed by the CLP-660ND was "underwhelming".
The publication added: "The design of the CLP-660ND has its awkward aspects. Extending the 250-sheet input tray to hold legal-size paper involves a difficult pinch-and-yank process. The handle for opening the 100-sheet multipurpose tray is hard to distinguish from the front-panel handle located in the same place."
Last month, Samsung launched a new programme designed to help increase the number of office machines and printer cartridges that are recycled around the world.
The Samsung PrintCycle aims to help businesses reuse old office products and replace those which have a harmful affect on the environment with more eco-friendly office machines.
All of Samsung's future office machines will be more environmentally-friendly, using new technologies to minimise the impact on the planet.
