02/05/2008 04:10
A major office equipment manufacturer has unveiled a host of new wireless office products at an exhibition in the US.
Kyocera launched a host of office machines - as well as mobile phones - at the CTIA Wireless trade show in Las Vegas.
Among the office products created by Kyocera are the Kyocera Mako S4000 and the Adreno S2400, which both have wireless capabilities to link up to a range of office products or office machines.
All of Kyocera's new office products use code division multiple access (CDMA) technolgies for wireless capabilities.
Dave Carey, vice-president and general manager of Kyocera, said: "Our new CDMA handsets mark another step in the development of our core CDMA business, while our expansion into the mobile market significantly broadens our global market opportunities and the Sanyo acquisition gives us unprecedented new economies of scale and depth of resources.
"We're making a very clear statement today that Kyocera is committed to long-term growth and success in this industry."
In May, Kyocera will host an event at Birmingham's NEC which will feature government and charity representatives as well as guest speakers from the utilities, conservation and corporate sectors talking about the green office supplies industry.
