HP unveils thinner office machines
28/01/2008 16:46
One of the world's largest manufacturers of office machines has launched three new office products in addition to its ever-growing range.
HP has unveiled a range of new thinner laptops and desktops - known as thin clients - which are suitable for offices and homes.
The new HP Compaq t5730 and t5735 office machines offer wireless internet capabilities, run on the Windows XPe system and feature high-end graphics specifications.
Designed for use with other HPoffice machines, the new office products can be linked up to high-quality printers which use HPprinter cartridges. The office machines are also among the most environmentally-friendly on the market.
Along with the t5730 and t5735, HP has also launched a thin-client mobile office machine - the 6720t aimed at office workers on the move.
Klaus Besier, vice president of HP thin-client solutions, said: "HP recognises thin clients play an integral role in driving next-generation business computing platforms and we will continue innovating across our remote computing solutions portfolio to help customers achieve their business goals."
Earlier this month, HP was named the world's largest PC manufacturer for 2007, with 18.8 per cent of global PC unit shipments for the year, according to IDC.
