One of the world's largest office products manufacturers has teamed up with a leading computer producer to unveil a new range of office machines.
HP and Compaq have worked together on the dc5850 Desktop PC - a range of office machines which HP claims "blends performance and value".
Aimed at small businesses, the office equipment features high-end graphics technology and new AMD Cool'n'Quiet technology, which makes the office products more energy efficient than previous models.
Alan Reed, vice president and general manager at HP, said: "HP provides customers smart technology ideas and always-there expertise to help them choose the desktops that best meet their business and user needs.
"The depth and breadth of HP's product offerings are a testament to our commitment to provide technologies that solve our global customers' pain points, from IT management and security, to power consumption and environmentally responsible disposal."
Earlier this month, HP launched a programme in the US state of California to highlight consumer recycling of printer cartridges and inkjet cartridges.
HP signed a deal with the state government to provide recycling facilities at all state buildings so that HPprinter cartridges - as well as other brands - can be recycled.
Together, the partnership aims to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by as much as 500 tonnes per year.
