Canon scoops 4 industry awards for office products

A major office equipment manufacturer has scooped four prestigious industry awards at a show in London - including two for its office products.
Canon walked away with a number of prizes at the Technical Image Press Association (TIPA) awards ceremony last week, including two for its innovative cameras and two for its office products.
The Canon Pixma MP970 was named by TIPA as the best multifunction photo printer in Europe, after the judges summed it up in just four words - "Photos and more besides".
A flagship model from Canon, the all-in-one office products can print, copy, scan and fax documents and provides high quality photo prints by using seven separate inks.
Meanwhile, Canon's Conoscan 8800F office machines were named as the best flatbed scanner in Europe by the TIPA panel.
Earlier this month, Canon launched a new product designed to help businesses calculate the costs of their office supplies.
Technology developed by Canon and Sepialine can now calculate how much it costs businesses to print documents using their office machines - and also find ways of reducing costs.
