Xerox launches it most affordable MFP ever
18/06/2007 16:48
Copier giant Xerox has unveiled its latest printer supplies offering, a new multifunction printer (MFP) ideal for small businesses.
And Xerox is confident the machine will have a significant impact in the printer supplies marketing war, as it costs just $399 (£200).
The Xerox Phaser 3200MFP prints up to 24 pages per minute in black and white and also offers copy, scan and fax functions.
"People want to finish tasks in fewer steps without having to leave their desk," said Russell Peacock, Xerox Office Group president.
"For about the same price as a stand-alone printer, the Phaser 3200MFP puts all the tools workers need to be productive within arm's reach."
Although Xerox is less renowned for its printer supplies than its copiers, the Phaser3200MFP looks set to win over many consumers, with "high image quality, speed and scanning versatility with features that make it more secure and greener".
The machine comes complete with 4MB of fax memory and a monthly duty cycle of 10,000 prints.
Printer supplies rivals, such as Hewlett-Packard and Lexmark, will be green with envy over the machines enhanced security options, including PIN-protected faxes, and its environmentally-friendly features, such as paper use reduction on fax receipt printing.
