Wireless office machines 'top Christmas lists'

A state-of-the-art piece of office equipment has beaten more traditional consumer products as people's favourite must-have item this season.
Wireless printers, one of the ideal office products to cut down on the nightmare of wires everywhere, has been voted dream item in a survey of more than 1,000 computer users.
More respondents - some 618 - voted for it in the Lexington International research, against 565 who opted for a flat-screen television and 451 who said they would like a camcorder.
While six per cent said they already owned this kind of device, 84 per cent said they would think these office machines would make "a great gift", Lexington said.
Paul A. Rooke, executive vice president and consumer print division president, said: "Wireless printers are a gift that can be enjoyed by everyone in the home.
"You might want to start with terrific photo prints from your holiday gatherings."
Lexington noted that in October PC Magazine had confirmed its Lexmark X3550 all-in-one has lower running costs over three years than products from other office equipment manufacturers like Canon, HP and Kodak in a light-duty scenario.
