Samsung unveils world's smallest MFP
12/07/2007 16:20
Electronics giant Samsung will be hoping its latest printer supplies offering can yield similar success to its popular line of mobile phones.
And its new multifunction printer (MFP) is sure to ruffle a few feathers in the printer supplies market, as Samsung claims it is the smallest MFP available.
Samsung says the CLX-2160 all-in-one desktop colour laser printer is 50 per cent more compact than conventional MFPs.
It follows the launch by Samsung of the world's smallest 4-in1 colour laser MFP and re-enforced its position as a printer supplies global leader in the mini colour laser MFP sector.
Mr Ng Long Shyang, vice president of sales and marketing, telecoms and IT solutions, Samsung Asia, said there was growing demand for all-in-one units, especially among people who work from home in small offices and among small business users.
"Just as Samsung succeeded in transforming the personal colour laser printer market with the world's smallest CLP-300 series, we intend to establish our foothold in the personal colour laser all-in-one market with the CLX-2160 series," he said.
"Moreover, our continuous development of innovative products allows us to remain a step ahead in satisfying the various consumers' needs."
