Ricoh moves to make green business easy
15/03/2007 13:35
Printing and office equipment manufacturer Ricoh has published a best practice guide to help businesses limit their environmental impact.
The Green to Do List is free to download and offers businesses advice and information on the best ways to reduce their carbon footprint and help negate climate change.
Ricoh has released the guide following the publication of the government's draft Climate Change Bill, which has outlined plans to see businesses and consumers reduce their carbon emissions by 60 per cent by the mid-21st century.
Its Green to Do List covers every business operation and provides action points and simple best practice tips covering areas such as waste management, recycling and water conservation.
Chas Moloney, associate director of marketing at Ricoh UK, said: "A lot of environmental initiatives do require initial investments that are paid back over time.
"This guide aims to point out that these are really beneficial, but there are a lot of things that can be done with minimal investment."
Mr Moloney added that even if people only read it and ask their bosses if they are making positive moves to improve their office environment's green credentials then it will have had an impact.
Ricoh's Green to Do List offers three useful tips for every business practice, ranging from small changes to wholesale environmental investments, added Mr Moloney.
