Recycling inkjets is kids' stuff
12/06/2007 16:27
Recycle4kids.org has kicked off a new fund-raising programme, aiming to protect the environment and support children's charities.
The company promotes recycling by offering to raise funds for charities in exchange for empty inkjet cartridges and toner cartridges.
Every inkjet cartridge received has a monetary value, with the accumulated funds donated to the charity selected by the participant.
All participants taking part in the scheme will be provided with the marketing tools and collections materials free of charge.
Over 350 million inkjet cartridges and toners are disposed of in landfills every year and Recycle4kids is hoping that the initiative will be taken up by schools, religious groups, retailers and corporate firms.
The Recycle4kids.org website details which empty inkjet cartridgesand toner units qualify for reuse.
"Recycle4kids.org believes that no contribution is too small, every effort counts," the group said. "As the slogan goes, 'One Cartridge Can Make a Difference'".
"The simple process of recycling produces a beneficial domino effect in our environment. There will be less pressure on the usage of virgin materials from forest and mineral resources. More forest means more trees and preserved habitat for wildlife."
At Paperstone we can supply your firm with a wide selection of inkjet cartridges.
