Printer cartridge firm launches new campaign
10/10/2007 10:34
Printer cartridge firm HP has announced the launch of its integrated global marketing campaign, dubbed What do you have to say?.
The campaign will be targeted at customers throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa and aims to encouraging creative printing among the industry's increasingly digital-facing customers.
With consumer trends shifting towards the digital sharing of photographs and other media, the new HP strategy is intended to remind users of the versatility of portable, speedy and affordable next-generation digital printing platforms.
The printer cartridge firm has enlisted the help of pop sensation Gwen Stefani, who has contributed personalised printable greeting cards, CD labels and fun paper dolls, all of which are aimed to empower and excite the imagination of printing consumers.
In recognition of the changing trends and attitudes of consumers, HP is also eschewing TV advertising in favour of print, outdoor, in-store and - most crucially of all - online advertising.
"People no longer rely on having a PC with a printer attached to it, but instead use digital devices to create and share content over the internet," explains Rebekah O'Flaherty, vice-president of marketing and the printer cartridge firm.
Last month HP also announced the release of its new HP Pavilion dv2600 Special Edition Entertainment Notebook PC.
