Office supplies firm chooses ERP system
30/11/2007 15:02
The largest independent office supplies company in the US has adopted Microsoft's Dymanics AX system to manage its business and critical operations information. Microsoft's enterprise resource planning (ERP) system is more flexible than other solutions and matches the WB Mason's needs, the software giant said. The software changeover will be implemented by Microsoft Gold Certified Partner MBS Dev. Tom Golden, president of the office furniture division at the office supplies company, said that previous ERP systems they had tried had fallen short of the mark. "Microsoft Dynamics AX provides us with a very versatile solution and having MBS Dev on board to support us will help ensure that our operations are running smoothly," he added. Benefits expected include support for the office supplies company's growth, cost savings, improved reporting and forecasting and ease of use. Boston-based WB Mason was founded in 1898 and has 14 distribution centres in eight states serving more than 140,000 customers. It sells office supplies, office furniture, technology, toner and printer solutions. These include art supplies, desk accessories, mailroom supplies, paper rolls, phones and accessories and filing cabinets. At Paperstone we can supply your firm with a wide selection of office supplies.
