New office 'more like home'
09/02/2007 11:44
A US company has claimed that its new office environment is more like a living room than a workplace.
Pinnacle Real Estate Group, in Lake Tahoe, has recently opened to much applause and Theresa and Don Souers, co-founders of the firm, claim that the layout and design of its new office is more inviting to customers and clients.
Rather than traditional office furniture, the Pinnacle Real Estate Group office features comfortable sofas around an open fire, stools at a log counter and an antique oak table for having more formal discussions.
As well as more comfortable office furniture, the new workspace is surrounded by a wireless internet connection that enables staff and clients to take full advantage of modern day technology and 21st century office equipment.
Speaking about the new office, Mr Souers said: "Although we were very happy with our previous company, we were finding it somewhat constraining.
"Today's clients are creative and well-informed and the technology has simply changed the way this business is run."
Experts claim that office environments can have a massive impact on employees, with recent research suggesting that dotting pot plants around office furniture can increase productivity in the workplace by as much as 12 per cent.
At Paperstone, we offer a massive selection of office furniture to help you get the most out of your office environment.
