New ink formulation for Epson office machines
05/11/2007 16:04
A new colour ink formulation will soon be available for use in Epson office machines, it has been announced.
The ConeColor inks, made by Vermont PhotoInkjet for the Epson Ultrachrome K3 office machines, can be plugged into existing colour workflows.
In addition, users of Epson office equipment could benefit from the fade-resistant and non-damaging technology which is present in the inks, the company states.
Vermont PhotoInkjet's signature product, Piezography, has already been acknowledged as a high-performing option for black-and-white printing, according to the firm.
"Establishing ourselves in a colour market dominated by other companies requires a sensitivity to the needs of customers and a product that was innovative like Piezography", commented Jon Cone, president of Vermont PhotoInkjet.
"The overwhelming complaint of third-party colour users is that they need special ICC profiles or have to purchase expensive colour management software."
Another reason users of office machines may want to try ConeColor, he explained, is that the inkjet cartridges are refillable.
The printer cartridges clearly display their ink levels and are able to be filled and refilled manually, which could cut down on the number of printer cartridges sent to landfills, as well as saving money for consumers, the firm suggested.
Recently, Epson announced that it was launching a website to match people's personalities with office machines.
At Paperstone we can supply your firm with a wide selection of office machines.
