Employers in the UK will be buoyed to learn that Microsoft has made a security patch available for Microsoft 2004 on the Mac.
Mac's were recently added to the list issued by Microsoft to encompass the MS07-036 security update after the firm flagged Microsoft for the Mac as a "critical" in terms of the severity of security.
This new Microsoft security patch has been designed to clear up bugs that occurred in Excel editions 2000, 2002, 2003, and 2007.
According to Andrew Storms, director of security operations at nCircle Network Security: "By far, this is the top of the list this month."
He continued to state: "Active Directory is in the center of every Windows network. There's a lot in there, including the group policy objects that set security - and everything about every user."
A total of six security updates were released by Microsoft on top of this one for the Mac, with Windows, Office and .Net Framework covered by the new patch which was designed to provide a solution for 11 vulnerabilities.
The latest edition of Microsoft was released this year and the professional version includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher, Accounting Express and Access.
