Konica Minolta launches new office machines
12/09/2007 11:46
Office equipment manufacturer Konica Minolta has introduced some new office machines to its range of digital production print systems.
The bizhub PRO C5500 can produce 55 prints per minute for A4 colour or black-and-white output, the company claims, explaining that this feature makes it "highly suitable" for central reprographic departments (CRDs) or high-volume office environments. Monthly output volumes could range from 30,000 to 60,000.
Konica Minolta says that the office machines use a screening method with advanced colour processing, which results in smoother backgrounds for prints.
Additionally, the printers utilise a technology which enhances halftone printing, as well as outlines and reversed and slim text.
Jos Kelly, head of production print at the office equipment manufacturer, commented: "This launch extends our range of professional digital systems, offering customers all the benefits of the Konica Minolta colour digital technology at an entry-level price.
"The bizhub PRO C5500 offers an easy entry into colour print-on-demand for CRDs and high-volume specialised office environments that want to benefit from the flexibility of short run colour output and variable data printing."
Konica Minolta offers a range of printers, as well as other office equipment.
