Kodak makes ink saving claims
18/06/2007 16:44
Printer supplies company Kodak has claimed that its low-cost premium inks save customers up to 50 per cent on everything they print.
In its latest ploy to topple printer supplies rival Hewlett-Packard, the American firm has unveiled the results of its recent ink yield tests and cost-per-page analysis.
Kodak has suggested its easyshare premium low-cost ink saves people up to half as much on everything they print when compared with other printer supplies firm's inkjet printers.
Magnus Felke, product marketing director of Kodak's Inkjet Systems Group, said: "In the spirit of giving consumers the most information possible, we are fully disclosing performance results for all the printers tested and how costs-per-print were determined.
"Consumers are frustrated with how much they spend on ink, and how little they get for the ink they buy. Kodak continues to change the game by finally equipping consumers with the data they need to make an educated purchasing decision."
Kodak is traditionally recognised as a global leader for photographic materials and equipment.
It recently announced its intention to move into the printer sales market, although established printer supplies brand Epson has already criticised its rivals' inkjet cartridges.
