Kodak launches contest to combat pricey printer cartridges
31/10/2007 13:58
Office machines company Kodak has announced that it is launching a competition to draw attention to the competitive pricing of its printer cartridges.
The Pricey Ink Stinks contest is inviting people to submit entries which suggest new uses for old office machines such as printers.
Clever ideas for how to reuse office equipment are welcomed and those entrants who are judged to be the most creative will win a Kodak Easyshare 5300 all-in-one (AiO) printer. In total, three of the office machines will be given away.
"Our goal is to encourage a revolution against sky-high ink prices and this contest is a great way to unite people in a common cause," commented Michael Mayfield, online marketing manager for Kodak's Inkjet Systems Division.
"This fun and creative promotion not only highlights how Kodak's EasyShare AiO printers enable people to spend much less on ink, it also encourages them to be creative in how they use the printers that are just too expensive to use."
Kodak claims that using its printer cartridges in its EasyShare office machines can help customers save as much as 50 per cent on what they print, compared to other printers which use inkjet cartridges.
In addition to office equipment such as printers, Kodak makes a wide range of cameras.
