HP websites hailed for online support

Hewlett-Packard (HP) has announced that three of its consumer and enterprise customer support websites have been heralded as world beaters by two prominent support industry associations.
The Localisation Industry Standards Association and the Association of Support Professionals recognised HP's commitment to providing relevant support information for its customers.
HP's Customer Care, IT Resource Centre and My ProCurve sites were chosen as three of the "Ten Best International Web Support Sites" by a panel of judges.
HP is one of the world's leading suppliers of ink-jet cartridges and printing solutions and the news will boost its global brand image.
Stephanie Acker-Moy, vice president, HP.com Customer Experience, said HP had to meet the needs of millions of customers in 170 countries speaking different languages.
"Through the use of standard tools and processes for authoring, translation and publishing our websites, we are able to provide a multilingual, multicultural customer experience across our market segments and throughout the product lifecycle – from marketing, to sales, to support," she added.
HP recently announced two additions to its HP Pavilion product line specifically for US Hispanic consumers, as it continued to meet the needs of a worldwide market.
