HP launches new scanners
17/01/2007 17:07
Office equipment manufacturer HP has released two new scanners that it claims will make it easier to digitally catalogue old documents and photos.
The Scanjet G4050 and Photoshop G4010 offer advanced technology that sets them apart from comparable office equipment, with the scanners splitting images up into six different colours instead of the normal three.
The six colours - red, orange, yellow, green, cyan and blue - are each sampled at 16 bits per pixel in order to create a 96-bit image at a resolution of 4800x9600 dpi.
HP claims that this results in "exceptional colour accuracy" and will update old and worn documents and photos into 21st century digital content.
This is accentuated by the use of advanced dust and scratch removal technology that helps remove impurities that may have affected the quality of photographers stored in boxes or at the bottom of draws for a long time.
Using two scans, the new HP office equipment is able to map areas where dust and scratches are present and remove them from the final digital image.
Plus, the office equipment manufacturer has included a clever adaptive sharpening algorithm that takes into account the sharpness of the scanner and the resolution of the scan to optimise every analogue to digital transfer.
At Paperstone, we offer a full range of office equipment, including scanners, to suit your needs.
