Firms 'can now afford to use office machines for colour printing'
27/11/2007 17:24
These days, colour printing with office machines is no longer beyond the reach of the average company, it has been claimed.
Ian Revell, country manager of Konica Minolta printing solutions, said that the use of office equipment to print in colour is "widely recognised as an essential and strategic commercial tool".
He explained that the cost per page of printing from a high-quality colour laser printer can be comparable to that of monochrome office machines.
Additionally, Mr Revell suggested that firms which produce their marketing and sales documents in-house could make significant cost savings, even if they are using their office equipment to print in colour.
He cited research from the Pantone Institute that stated that colour-printed messages increase a reader's assimilation of information by up to 78 per cent compared with monochrome messages.
"Using a colour laser printer in business communications is one of the most effective ways to increase the clarity and comprehension of business documents and in-house marketing materials," he added.
Konica Minolta manufactures a wide variety of office products to suit businesses of different sizes.
