Epson reveals new budget inkjet printer
01/06/2007 16:22
Epson has released a new entry-level inkjet printer, as it continues to battle it out with Hewlett-Packard for ascendancy in the inkjet cartridges and printer supplies market.
The D9 A4 model is ideal for home users that require smaller printing quantities and retails at just £39.99, including four individual inkjet cartridges.
It features Epson's DURABrite Ultra Ink system, which uses "pigment-based ink technology that encapsulates each pigment particle in a protective resin coating".
The glossy finish is more reminiscent of dye-based printing, while still offering the quality and longevity of pigment ink.
The D9 can fire out 25 pages per minute and boasts an optimised resolution of 5760dpi, as well as borderless printing.
Trustedreviews.com said: "The price of mass market printers is so ridiculously low these days I wonder why they aren't given away with a bulk pack of cartridges? And yet you still get a massive amount of bang for your buck.
"It will appear on shelves from June. If you're in need of a good all rounder then go pick it up... with the change from your groceries."
Epson is one of the world's leading manufacturers of inkjet cartridges, printer supplies, scanners and other electronics.
At Paperstone we can supply your firm with a wide selection of inkjet cartridges.
