Epson range of printers 'perfectly suitable' for home or office

The Epson DX4400 range of printers are appropriate for both home and office use, according to a new review.

As well as being low-cost office machines, they also offer a range of high specifications, vnunet.com claims.

The DX4400 prints up to 25 pages per minute, is well-constructed and provides high quality photo printing, the review states.

However, this range of office equipment - due to being a budget product - has no memory card slots or LCD.

Regarding troubleshooting, the website says that the office machines "provide plenty of feedback" and access to help tips if a user runs into problems.

Replacement printer cartridges are available at the "low" price of £6.99, it adds, explaining that individual printer cartridges help ensure less ink is used, which is good for both the wallet and the environment.

The review claims that the Durabite inks available from Epson "provide a high-gloss finish and perform well on paper".

"However, if you want to print a large number of photos, we'd recommend spending an extra £10 for the DX5000, which is around three times faster at producing 6 x 4 inch prints," it adds.

Epson is more than 100 years old.
