Canon to release new printer ranges
20/08/2007 14:57
Canon, manufacturers of a variety of office machines, is set to introduce some new printer ranges incorporating minimalist styling, it has emerged.
The company - which also makes printer cartridges - has developed both multifunctional and single-function office machines for consumers, WhatDigitalCamera.com reports.
As part of the Pixma range of office products, eight multifunctional and two single-function printers offer features such as auto skew correction for scanned documents and auto image correction - which automatically corrects exposure errors and colour tonality.
Meanwhile, the website states that the MP970 "confirms its position as Canon's flagship multifunctional model" by reducing warm-up time, featuring LED lights and supporting Bluetooth, Ethernet and PictBridge.
For those who are seeking office machines for home use, the MX300, MX310 and MX700 may be suitable, as they include fax capabilities, as well as Ethernet connectivity in some models.
"The new range has been tailored to current market trends, where the sale of single-function printers is slowing, being steadily replaced by the popularity of multifunctionals," the website claims.
In related news, the office equipment company has recently said that it will double dedicated sales personnel for large-format inkjet printers across its global network, according to Japan's the Nikkei.
