CAD to make office furniture decisions easier

Office furniture Businesses around the country will be able to plan their office furniture arrangements with greater ease thanks to a new piece of computer-aided design (CAD) software being launched by Punch.

The new ViaCAD program will allow offices up and down the UK to create 2D and 3D visualisations of their office environment and make informed choices on the position of office furniture.

Whether it be where to put that new desk or how best to reorganise the seating arrangements to improve the feng shui, Punch claims that businesses will be able to use to software create the perfect office environment.

Punch has also claimed that ViaCAD has been designed with consumer use in mind, with Tim Olson, the firms vice-president of development, saying: "'ViaCAD has been created with a laser beam focus on ease of use, so that it's now fun being effective and highly productive with design software."

It even comes complete with a pre-designed office furniture template, helping to make it even easier for firms to design their office exactly as they want it.

Retailing for under $99 (£50), Punch has said that the ViaCAD programme is set to revolutionise the way that people go about positioning their office furniture in a highly effective way.
