Office products going for gold
24/11/2006 14:40
Even the most mundane office products can be suped up to generate a buzz in the workplace.
Japanese firm Thanko has revealed a new USB hub that is based on a rather more extravagant gold ingot but is marginally less expensive.
Using gold-plated metals, Thanko have created what is a very convincing copy of a gold bar but one which works perfectly well as an everyday office product.
It has even mixed metals into the manufacture of the hub, giving it a weight that is akin to a normal gold bar.
But, Thanko claims that this gives its gold ingot-style USB hub an advantage over its rivals. Due to its weight, 2.1 kg, it is very hard to accidentally move and as such makes it difficult to inadvertently disconnect other office products connected to the computer through the hub.
And with eight downstream ports, there's plenty of scope for connecting all of your office products that require a USB connection at one. Printers, scanners, digital cameras and mice can all be connected seamlessly and in style with the Thanko hub.
In addition, the hub comes complete with an auxiliary DC power supply to help ensure that even office products such as printers and scanners, which pull power from a computer, are sure to work as normal when connected through the Thanko hub.
At Paperstone we have a full range of office products available to peruse on our website.
