Hi-tech equipment to keep Worcester green
27/12/2006 11:42
The city of Worcester is being called upon to be as green as possible by local environment officials and charities, according to reports.
Many professionals in the town are likely to have received hi-tech products to enhance their work life and offices and could find themselves lumbered with old equipment and products, according to Worcester's environmental protection officer John Bond
Mr Bond has made a plea for the city to build on last year's 25 per cent increase in post-Christmas recycling by being even greener in 2006.
Plus Andy Jarrett, a fund raising manager from the Acorns Children's Hospice in Worcester, has said that recycling printer cartridges, mobile phones and other hi-tech equipment can help provide treatment to sick children.
Mr Jarrett said: "It's fantastic that people can help Acorns by having a green Christmas. You can help local life-limited children and their families by recycling mobile phones, printer cartridges, personal digital assistants, jewellery and CDs."
Businesses in the area are being implored by the Acorns Children's Hospice to partake in the Bring a Mobile Phone to Work Day on January 18th, with the company collecting the most hi-tech equipment receiving a four-night break for two at a luxury hotel.
At Paperstone, we can offer you a whole range of office equipment to make your work life easier.
