Charity Walk Raises Awareness of Sweatshop Toil

Walk 4 Work

If you’re looking for a good cause to back this season, our friends People Tree, makers of sustainable and Fair Trade fashion, are raising money for one of their producers in Bangladesh, Swallow, who were hit by a cyclone last year.

Two of their models Dean Newcombe and Sofi Bevan have almost finished their 419km coast-to-coast walk across Japan. Having trekked 14-16 hours a day for 7 days, their walk will have mimicked the hours and calorie intake of sweatshop garment workers around the globe.

They complete their journey tomorrow and you can follow their final steps here and donate here.
