Juche calendar

In North Korea, the government and other official bodies use a calendar similar to the Gregorian but with 1912, the birth year of Kim Il-sung, as year 1. The months remain unchanged. This Juche year calendar was introduced in 1997. The Juche year is placed either before or after the AD year, e.g. Juche 99 (2010).
