Six hundred office workers were interviewed in London’s Canary Wharf and New York’s Wall Street. Over 40% have already stolen company data in case they are made redundant during the recession. Eighty-five percent of respondents knew it was illegal to steal corporate data. Almost two-thirds said that stealing data had become a lot easier this year, up from almost a third in a similar survey conducted a year ago.
