Xerox campaigns to help reduce waste office supplies

One of the largest office equipment manufacturers in the world has launched a new campaign to help businesses reduce the amount of office supplies they use and cut their impact on the environment.

Xerox has suggested five ways in which companies – and individuals – can reduce the amount of Paper they use, as part of the company’s green push.

Companies should use both sides of Paper when printing documents from office machines, replace posting documents with digital emails and be selective with what they use office products for.

Recycling and using eco-friendly Paper are also suggested by the office products manufacturer.

Wim Appelo, president of Xerox Strategic Services, said: "It may be a surprise that Xerox is concerned about excessive Paper use. After all, we’re in the business of putting marks on pages.

"But, the hallmark of our business has always been operating in an environmentally responsible way. That means holding our suppliers to tough standards on how they make Paper, improving forest management and protecting endangered forests."

Last month, Xerox launched its Sustainability Calculator, designed to help businesses find out what parts of their company are causing the most damage to the environment, while also helping reduce costs.

At Paperstone we can supply your firm with a wide selection of office equipment.
