Ricoh office products gain mixed reviews

By Paperstone on April 6, 2008 in Office Supplies

A new range of office machines from one of the world’s largest office products manufacturers has been described as "adequate" but "high cost" by an industry expert.

Ricoh‘s new Aficio SP C222DN Colour Laser Printer has been launched in the UK and the US by the office machines manufacturer but got a mixed response when reviewed by PC World magazine.

While reviewer Melissa Riofrio praised the speed of the office equipment and the quality of documents produced, she attacked the low toner capacities – which increases the costs of running the office equipment.

Ms Riofrio added: "The design also flummoxed me at various points. The control panel’s few buttons perform some functions through obscure key combinations and the printer has no LCD to spell them out for you. The foldout front panel lacks handles and feels flimsy, as does the 250-sheet main input tray."

Last month, Ricoh launched two new office products designed to help out mid to large-sized companies.

The new Aficio MP 4000 and MP 5000 from Ricoh can print up to 50 pages per minute and are more environmentally-friendly than many other office products made by the manufacturer.

At Paperstone we can supply your firm with a wide selection of office equipment.
