Recycled office supplies ‘help businesses go green’

A new range of office supplies have been created by an office equipment manufacturer out of its former products.

The recycled calculator line of office products from Canon is the latest in an ever-increasing line of eco-friendly products created by the company, in a bid to influence the day-to-day running of offices across the world.

Canon has launched three calculators – the LS-8TCG, HS-1200TCG and TS-1200TCG – which are all made from 100 per cent recycled parts from previous Canon office machines.

The company states that the calculators are "ideal" for a company which is pushing an environmentally-friendly campaign, as they fulfil the green criteria for ISO 14001 environmental management certification.

Mogens Jensen, head of Canon Europe, said: "The launch of this calculator range is a small step towards a truly sustainable manufacturing programme.

"Through continued improvements in resource efficiency, we hope to show that it is possible for all players in the industry to achieve a balance between environmental and business interests."

Last week, further new office products from Canon were launched, aimed at companies wishing to reduce printing costs and their impact on the environment.
