Nearly three-quarters of all business managers do not actually know how much their company spends on printing and copying each year, a new study has uncovered.

Research by office products manufacturer Konica Minolta found that 72 per cent of managers had no idea of how much it cost to use office equipment.

However, those managers with a non-IT background were even further in the dark, with 82 per cent admitting they had no knowledge of the cost of office supplies and office equipment.

Despite this, the research also found that 70 per cent of UK companies were reducing the amount of documents they print off as a result of eco-friendly urges.

John Howard, head of UK marketing for Konica Minolta said: "The rate of change brought about by technology innovation is fast and increasing.

"Making sense of it and staying on the edge of the technology wave is a real challenge, as our recent survey results make clear

Last month, Konica Minolta and Oce – a Dutch manufacturer – agreed that they will work together on a number of projects and will market their office machines using the same agency and techniques.

Officially signed on April 4th, the deal will cover office machines and office products manufactured by the two companies. No jobs will be lost at either firm.

At Paperstone we can supply your firm with a wide selection of office machines.
