Polaroid renames office machines for UK launch
05/04/2008 06:57
A line of office machines popular in a number of countries across the world is set to be given a new name in the run up to its UK launch.
The Polaroid Zink has be renamed at the Polaroid PoGo - as in Polaroid to Go - in a bid to win over British consumers when it is launched on to the UK market in May this year.
According to a report by Sky News, the office products have been in development for over ten years at Polaroid's headquarters, before being launched in Europe and the US late last year.
The office equipment will offer users the chance to print business card-sized colour photos from their mobile phone via Bluetooth or digital camera via PictBridge without the need for a computer.
When launched in May, the office machines are likely to cost £99 in most retailers.
The report states: "The size of a large smartphone, the Polaroid PoGo printer uses thermal printing meaning there is no ink needed. Instead users will use Polaroid's specially designed paper, which will cost an expensive £3 for ten sheets."
Originally launched in 1937, the Polaroid brand has been at the forefront of photography for over 60 years.
At Paperstone we can supply your firm with a wide selection of office machines.
