Office machines manufacturer in bold photo printer claim
23/01/2008 11:22
A major office machines manufacturer has claimed that its new office products make it "easier and faster" for commercial organisations to produce specialist photos.
Xerox has launched its new FreeFlow Printer Server system which, combined with the company's DocuColor Digital Color Printer/Copier, allows consumers to speed up the printing process of high-resolution images.
The JPEG plug-in on the FreeFlow office products is designed to eliminate the time-consuming step of pre-processing digital photos before fully printing them.
Pre-set queues, a unique feature of the Xerox FreeFlow Print Server, allow print operators to produce photo products with greater ease. Operators can produce the most common size images by dragging and dropping a file into a folder based on the desired output size.
Steve Olock, director of imaging services at Dan's Camera City - one of the largest camera stores in the US - said: "Helping our customers preserve their memories is our number one priority. This Xerox software makes sure that each digital print job is produced quickly and flawlessly, no matter how complex the file or the project."
Earlier this week, Xerox won the Better Buys for Business award for Top Innovative Products for Business for the Xerox Phaser 8860 colour office machines.
