New office products range launched

The first in a range of new office machines has been launched by a major office equipment manufacturer which offers high-speed scanning capabilities.

Canon's new DR-X10C office machines provides users with high quality image scanning, while it can scan colour documents at speeds of up to 128 pages per minute.

The DR-X10C scanner is designed for high-volume, paper-intensive environments with an impressive daily duty cycle of 60,000 scans, while the office machines have the ability to rotate images by detecting character orientation and skip blank pages.

Canon plans to release similar office products throughout 2008.

Jim Rosetta, vice president and general manager at Canon USA, said: "The Canon DR-X10C scanner will spearhead Canon's DR-Series scanners and represents the culmination of Canon's history in digital document imaging and innovation,"

"As the flagship model, this high-end device digitally cuts through document workloads, quickly processing paper to pixels for heavy duty environments."

Earlier this month, Canon announced it will work with technology firm eCopy to install document imaging software on a range of office machines previously made by the company, including the Canon ScanFront 220e network scanners.
